International Day of Prayer for Peace
The World Council of Churches calls on the churches and congregations around the world to observe an International Day of Prayer for Peace on 21 September. The day coincides with the International Day of Peace initiated by the United Nations.
The participants are especially invited to pray and act together for a just peace in communities, nations and the world.

Social Justice Sunday 2012
Each year the NCCA Social Justice Network produces a resource that can be used either in conjunction with the designated Sunday or at any other suitable time throughout the year.
The resource this year is titled “Peace in the Marketplace – so all may live in dignity”. It addresses issues of well being, the economy and the challenges such as work life balance, consumerism, and measuring real progress as a nation. The resource comprises articles addressing these areas it can be a helpful tool for promoting discussion. A worship resource is also available. Go to www.ncca.org.au
