Receptive Ecumenism
Wednesday 7 October 2009 (7.30pm - 9pm)Lecturer: Rev Dr Denis Edwards
Denis Edwards is a priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide and teaches theology for Flinders University and the Adelaide College of Divinity. He is an author and international scholar; Chair of the Adelaide Catholic Diocesan Commission for Ecumenical and Inter Faith Relations; member of SACC General Council
Many of us recognise that the ecumenical context has changed.
Denis will explore with us how the primary ecumenical responsibility is to ask not “What do the other traditions first need to learn from us?” but “What do we need to learn from them?”
Following the Lecture, there will be time for discussion and questions
